A collection of spaces we've crafted where water becomes more than just a view - it's part of the living experience. Each project tells its own story of how we've worked with clients to bring their vision to life along BC's incredible coastline.
We've been lucky enough to work on some pretty amazing projects over the years. From private residences perched on rocky outcrops to large-scale marina developments that've transformed entire waterfronts. Here's a look at what we've been up to.
This one's special to us. The clients wanted to feel like they were living inside the Pacific storms without actually getting wet. We designed this place with floor-to-ceiling glass on three sides, cantilevered over a rocky beach. When the waves roll in during winter, you're right there with them.
Completed 2022 - Tofino, BC
We spent three years reimagining this historic fishing village marina. The community didn't want something flashy - they wanted their heritage respected while bringing the facilities into the 21st century. We kept the original dock structures where possible and integrated new floating pavilions that actually complement the old cannery buildings.
Completed 2021 - Richmond, BC
A floating restaurant that moves with the tides. Yeah, we actually did that. The engineering was a nightmare but watching diners react when they realize the floor's gently swaying makes it all worth it.
2023 - Vancouver, BC
Mixed-use development that turned an industrial brownfield into a thriving waterfront neighborhood. We fought hard to keep 60% of the waterfront as public space - the community deserved that.
2020 - Vancouver, BC
Restoring century-old shipyard buildings is delicate work. We kept every timber we could salvage and used traditional joinery methods. These structures have stories to tell and we weren't gonna silence them with modern shortcuts.
2019 - Richmond, BC
Off-grid doesn't have to mean roughing it. This retreat center runs entirely on solar and wind, collects rainwater, and treats wastewater through natural systems. The buildings are positioned to barely touch the land - we used stilts to preserve the natural drainage patterns underneath.
Completed 2022 - Pender Island, BC
2021 - West Vancouver, BC
2023 - Bowen Island, BC
We're always excited to hear about new challenges - whether it's a small boathouse or a massive marina development. Let's grab a coffee and talk about what you're dreaming up.
We don't do this work for the trophies, but it's nice when our peers and clients appreciate what we're trying to achieve.

"They really listened to how we wanted to live with the ocean, not just look at it. The design process felt collaborative rather than prescriptive. Our home feels like it grew out of the rocks naturally."

"Working with Faros Haven on the marina project was eye-opening. They understood the practical needs of a working marina while respecting the community's heritage. That balance is rare."
